006- [phone] A learning experience....

Hi~ This is Teddie.

I just started school this week, and I already learned a whole lot.

But there was one thing one of the teachers said that I still don't understand.....

[His voice is just brimming with innocent curiosity.]

Can anyone tell me what 'sexual intercourse' is?

When a man and a woman love each other, they decide that they want to have a baby. Well, it doesn't even have to be for a baby. Some people do it for fun. You see, both the male and a female have unique sex organs that they use to...

[And she goes on for a few good minutes speaking in ridiculous detail about the entire process. Eight years old, but with the memories and history of literally everything in her world inside her head... Well.]

... and the nine months afterward are never pleasant. But why did you ask?

That's where humans come from?!?

[identity profile] birthclod.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Some believe they come from mud or clay. Others believe a big bird drops them from the skies. It's endless, the list of excuses, but...

Yes. To make things simple.

Wow! I didn't know there were so many ways to make humans. No wonder there's so many of them!

[identity profile] birthclod.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
No, no. See, that's how few people think humans originally came to be. We had to start somewhere. I could go on about explaining myths and evolution to you.

But for now, sexual reproduction is how we continue the process. And you're not human, are you?

[While Clod has met Teddie face to face, she never actually heard his voice before. She does remember meeting a so-called bear.]

[identity profile] birthclod.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
You kept referring to humans as "humans". Not many people do that. Except for those who aren't people.

[Herself included thanks to a technicality.]

[identity profile] pretty-bear.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Oh....

But I'm not that different. I've been working really hard to become more like them.

[identity profile] birthclod.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
People don't like being people. It's boring, so they try to make new people. A human who isn't a human says he'd like to be human. It's kinda hilarious!

[identity profile] pretty-bear.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
How could it be boring? Humans are always doing fun things. They get to go to festivals and have beauty pageants and eat cake....

[identity profile] birthclod.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, but that's just it. Humans invent fun, but they've also invented boredom. Humans themselves have become boring to each other. Wouldn't it be nice if they could fly? Wouldn't it be nice if like God, they could create life as well?

You're better off not being human. It's just too complicated.

[identity profile] pretty-bear.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
I've had way more fun in the human world than in my world. It's much better, trust me.

[identity profile] birthclod.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, how positively human you're sounding right now.

[Compliment or insult, feel free to take it however you please, Teddie. It's neutral to her.]

[identity profile] pretty-bear.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Teddie will always choose compliment.]

Thanks~

Hey, you sound familiar, have we met somewhere before?

[identity profile] pretty-bear.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm, I dunno...

[A lot of that day is kind of fuzzy, but she still sounds familiar.]

I just think I've talked to you before...

[identity profile] birthclod.livejournal.com 2011-09-15 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't recognize your voice from my world.

[She has the talent to memorize just about everything that happened around her. It's a useful trait, but if perception or perspective is somehow altered, then... Oh, dear.]

... The milk. I met you... sometime during the milk affair.

[identity profile] pretty-bear.livejournal.com 2011-09-18 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yeah! I remember now!

You were the one seeing little blonde girls, right?
